I’ve been thinking about westerns a whole bunch lately and was kinda kicking around a western story of my own, so here’s the protagonist I had in mind for said story.
She’s a native American woman who’s out on some personal business around the New Frontier, with her sights set on a certain unscrupulous real estate broker. Word on the prairie is the fire that ravaged her reservation wasn’t no accident, and there’s some kind of grand scheme afoot to steal away her tribe’s land for some sinister needs. If they’re going to spill her family’s blood and steal their land, she figures she might as well pay them back in full.
She wears a big hat, a poncho and a thick scarf to hide her identity, which also allows her to blend in with any environment without attracting attention, including upper-class city streets, mining towns, native reservations and plantations. She’s a good listener first and foremost, but when she needs to speak up, she prefers to let her six-shooter do the talking.
She also needs a name. Taking suggestions, like always.
