I’ve been thinking about wizards a whole bunch lately due to certain reasons so I figured I’d try and design a cool wizard character. Then as I started drawing I realized this was basically turning into a Witchsona, so I figured I might as well go with that. (Witchsonas are still a thing, right?)

This guy is Agrostis, a mage from the kingdom of Nordheim who travels the lands searching for magical reagents. He doesn’t do that whole fancy-pants swing-a-wand alakazam kind of magic (because he couldn’t get into Wizard Yale), so his magic relies more on herbology and alchemy, carrying the ingredients for his spells in his pouches (the big one is where he keeps his wizard weed). His hat is perpetually smoldering because of a failed combustion spell – the first and last time he attempted one without a reagent.

I might come up with more characters in his world and more stories to tell based on him and some others. We’ll see. Also this guy and his setting are heavily inspired by Fantasy Fiction (fantasyficpod) if you can’t tell.
